I’ve been fortunate enough to have stayed at Cerulean villa, the last time was especially fun as we celebrated my younger brothers birthday. I’ve seen many villas during my years at Luxury Retreats and Cerulean are definitely one property that stood out from the rest. I loved the look of the villa, it’s very modern and the pool overlooks the beach. I felt privacy when in the bedroom but yet not far from the action should I decide to walk out to the pool or dinning area. Bruce has been the manager for many years; he knows the villa and island inside and out. He arranged for a surprise beachfront dinner with entertainment…..all that I remember was some of us ended up in our underwear signing with the band. It’s just a matter of time before that video ends up on YouTube :)
But in all seriousness, the staff was fantastic. The bartender for example quickly realized that our group loves bloody Caesars….so rather than say sorry we don’t have any, they hurried to the store and back with fresh supplies. It’s this type of “can do” attitude that makes a good vacation, a great vacation!
I would recommend this villa for couples that want to be on a low key island (nightlife is almost non-existent here). If you’re a family man, this could also be a good option because you can watch your kids play on the beach from the pool. You’re never more than a few meters from the villa. It’s one of the few villas where you could spend a few days never leaving it and not feel guilty. The only draw back to renting here, and to no fault of Cerulean, is that Anguilla is a very low key island. If you’re a type of person that needs to be entertained constantly and you want the seclusion of Anguilla, Cerulean villa is one of the few that can keep you busy with day trips to St. Martin, tours, beach parties etc.. Otherwise a week could feel very long in any Anguilla villa that doesn’t have a good team in place.
Overall 2 thumbs up…Oh, and did I mention they have their own pastry Chef?
