The Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum is located in a historic plantation-era residence across from Hawaii’s last sugar producing mill in the former plantation town of Pu`unene. The museum presents information about the sugar industry and the inner workings of a sugar mill, depicts sugar’s influence on the development of Maui’s water resources, and describes plantation community life and the multi-ethnic immigrants who came here to work for the plantations. Admission fee.
Hours: Monday through Saturday 9:30am – 4:30pm (last admission 4pm). Open on Sunday seasonally. Call 808-871-8058
