Red Hot....

If you’re going to try to get into Rouge here is my advice:
1 – Be a hot chick or 2 – Be ready to act like you own the place
As Jazz mentioned – they have a strict no sausage party rule which I too respect. Montreal is known for having some of the most beautiful women and as such attracts a lot of men who come to seeks them out in our clubs. The problem is the men usually outnumber the women 4-1 and this can make the clubs just that….a sausage fest. Rouge is good about allowing all women in without waiting in line and shamlessly make the fellas wait in line. In my past experience you can get in if you tag along with some women or act as if you own the joint. I usually walk up with a group of 3/4 guys (a general no no at Rouge) and have a 20 folded into my right hand for the special hand-shake. This has never failed but you have to be confident and know that it will work.
The cool thing about Rouge is that they place great music for all ages. On the main floor you have the best dance hits of the 70’s / 80’s and 90’s. If you go upstairs to the top floor they are playing the more modern tracks but this also attracts a much younger crowd.
My recommendation is to stick to the main floor – and hang out at the back bar. There is less traffic and its the best spot to dance in small or large groups.
Try to avoid coat check because it will take forever at the end of the night to get you jacket!
