Café Des Eclusiers gets really busy on Thursday evenings after work (5 a 7). Make sure to show up with cash as credit cards weren’t being accepted.

Great on sunny days
Ok so Guv and I are here with our wireless Internet writing this live. I’ve been here a few times, the house musique is pretty good and it’s a mainly young professional crowd. I like the fact that there’s a section to tan (upstairs balcony) and if we were here early enough would have tried to score one of those well shaded, wood covered, group benches.
I ordered a bloody Cesar which was pretty good. We tried the raspberry mojito pitcher (but with vodka vs rum) and I’m not a huge fan. Kinda annoyed that I couldn’t use my MasterCard to pay (only cash or visa) but word is this is just a temporary problem.
Overall it’s been really nice to just sit back and listen to house tunes on this beautiful sunny June 24, 2009. This is perfect for the trendy traveler, anyone who’s in the 20 – 35 age group or people who want to enjoy a good terrace in Old Montreal.

Live from Eclusiers
So here I am… Wed afternoon on St Jean (a quebec holiday)… high of 29 degree sun out, this place is great. Really wick lounge music and they also have sun chairs for the sun worshipers… mmmm Sun tanners…. Man this is hard to write this review i am soo distracted right now… god speed
