Distillerie only allows in about 50 patrons at a time, so after 8 (seriously, I mean it) there is guaranteed to be a line, which is no big deal in the summer, but truly miserable in the winter when its ten degrees below and windy. The cap is annoying until you’re inside, where its refreshingly uncrowded. But the best part of Distillerie is the drinks, which are served in mason jars filled to the brim with five shots of whatever you want. OMG, you’ll be wasted before you know it!! My recommendation: the Hurricane or the Lime-Gingermbre.

Great drinks at "Jugs"
The Distillerie gets packed pretty quickly; it’s a very small place that offers excellent value. Paul told me about the place which we now call “Jugs” because they literally serve you jugs of booze. Getting to and from the bathroom during prime time can be a frustrating mission so I suggest getting there early, then head to either St. Denis or St. Laurent.
People that come to jugs seem to be primarily young French Canadians (students) who know a good deal when they see one. The drinks here are very tasty! Try “Jugs” :)

Expensive Drinks , but worth it
This is a great little bar that is now in two locations in Montreal. For the light drinkers you only really need about 2 drinks at this bar. They are $15.00 each but trust me they do the trick. I think this bar is one of the only Free Pour places left in the city. The people and crowd are very trendy. You can always find a nice girl sitting at the bar.

Get drunk FAST!
I’ve been here once before a show and I had 2 of the $15 jugs which was all I needed to get wasted! Maybe my tolerance is super low but, getting drunk for $30 sounds great to me! Inside is really small and gets packed fast, so you’re left standing at the bar squeezed between people which kinda sucks but, most busy clubs/bars are like that. I wouldn’t party here all night but it’s a great place to get the night started.
