One of the top 10 best rooftop terraces in Montreal

It’s a beautiful Friday afternoon and I’m sitting here with my Ipad wrtting this review (loving technology :) If you’re looking for a rooftop terrace to grab a drink after work Suite 701 is a great option.

It’s an L shaped bar that could prob fit a good 100 people. My waiter suggested that I try a special beer that’s supposedly produced by St Ambroise exclusively for Suite 701. It’s a light lager called MTL (stands for Montreal…..check the photos for my pic) The menu is very simple, I ended up trying the New York steak (asked for med rare but got med) which was ok, nothing to go crazy over.

Just. Warning, it gets pretty windy up here. I’m constantly looking over my almost empty glasses to make sure they don’t blow over. The staff is friendly, bilingual, pretty quick to clear the tables. if you get here early enough head to the back of the bar where you’ll find two white pods…..well shaded, wind free and perfect for groups of up to 6 people.

Pure Party Review #9

Suite 701, which is nicely located in Montreal really shows the variety of places you can go in Montreal. This classy Lounge bar has been around for quite a few years and has yet to dissapoint me.
The crowd that usually gathers here are men and women from the surrounding offices. There age range is usually 25 and up, including many sucessful and pretty women. The music is decent and you can always request one of your favorites. Although Suite 701 is a lounge bar, if you ever get hungry you can go across to the restaurant and order a great Poutine! After a few drinks early after work there is nothing better than a nice meal!
I would suggest going to check out Suite 701 on a Thursday night~

Good place to host a birthday party

A good friend of mine was turning twenty-eight so we decided to give this place a “shot” and reserved a table for ten for the night. Most of the our friends had never been here before so they didn’t know what to except. We all ended up having a great night because the pricing was reasonable, service was spot on and the music was a good mix of everything nice. The birthday boy and his girlfriend were very impressed and had a blast from what they remembered of it. The vibes were very relax and everyone around seemed to be enjoying themselves. There didn’t seem to be anyone trying to cause trouble like some of the other places I’ve been to around the city. I also really liked the super high ceilings in this place.

Nothing like a terrasse in Montreal!

As far as lounges go in Montreal, Suite 701 has all the right bits and pieces – cute guys (and girls), good drinks, decent music, nice atmosphere. It’s not my favorite bar, but a good way to mix up the week if you’re tired of the typical clubby feel. When it’s really worth a trip is in the summertime, especially around 8 or 9, when the sun goes down. A drink up there on a nice day, with the views…nothing like it!
