Café Melies is located on St. Laurent, great location for those seeking to begin the evening here and wander up the street for more nightlife later. This restaurant / lounge has a very modern look to it which isn’t surprising since the Ex-Centris Complex was designed by Daniel Langlois, the founder of Softimage. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and take advantage of its location.

Relaxed lounge, very close to nightlife
I’ve been to Café Melies a few times, not recently though. We did have our company Christmas party here which was fun….the restaurant feels very much like a trendy lounge at night. I like its location, right in the middle of St. Laurent which ideal if you want to go out after dinner. The terrace is very small so if you absolutely want to have dinner or a drink outside, make sure to not show up at the last minute. I’m guessing there’s maybe seating for 20 people?
I think the strength of Café Melies really lies in its location and relaxed environment. I do recall the presentation of the plates being pretty cool but wasn’t blown away by the food. Actually, I really don’t remember the food….maybe because their drinks were too good? :)
