Montreal | $$$$$ | Website
The “Q” oozes with masculinity. Walking past the window full of freshly butchered meat, you enter through revolving glass doors into a large, multi-floored restaurant where the air is thick and heavy, filled with the unmistakable smell of char grilled meat. Its classy dark wood and brick interior, open kitchen, and the hum of business banter compliment the menu and extensive fine wine selection. Q is loved by the business crowd not only because of its terrific steaks, raw bar, cigar lounge or large terrace but because of its location. Sitting in the heart of Montreal’s business district on Rene Levesque Boulevard directly across from the Bell Centre, it is the perfect spot for a power lunch, after work drinks or a pre-game dinner.
The Q is a fabulous Montreal steakhouse that is not as casual as Gibby’s and that is sexier than Moishes. It is the biggest profit generator for the Morentzos Restaurant Group Inc., which includes other successful local restaurants such as the Montreal Bread Company (MBCo), Moe's Deli and Bar and the new French bistro, Pois-Penche. Its sister restaurant, Trinity, is quickly becoming the place to be seen during festival time and it features an exceptionally popular seafood menu.
If Trinity is the place to go for seafood, Q is definitely the place for, as the website boasts, “meat, meat, meat.” The knowledgeable and very attentive servers bring a cart laden with different cuts of raw USDA prime dry-aged steak, which range from the 10-ounce Petit Mignon ($39) to the “Cadillac” Porterhouse at 28 ounces ($65)! The Lou’s Cut bone-in rib eye is most popular ($49). Sauces, butters and sides are extra ranging from $2 to $16. The Garbage Baker loaded potato ($10) and the Creamy Spinach Brulee with parmegiano cheese ($12) are recommended. If you are in the mood for something other than a Fred Flintstone style steak there are impressive lobster, veal, lamb and fish dishes available that are sure to please any appetite.
The Q has the right elements that make it popular amongst locals, tourists and business travelers alike. It is an expensive night, but it is sure to blow away any dining companion.

There are so many things to say about this high class resturant. the Steak, service and quality is all number 1.
If it is your first time in Montreal and you do not have a budget I would recommend checking this restuarant out. Although the prices can range easily into the 4 digit area it will be a night that you will never forget. Its very romantic and anything and everything you have ever wanted is there for the taking! So save some money and take that speical someone out for a nice meal….you will be thanking me later…trust me guys!

Sexy Splurge
I enjoyed splurging at the Q. It has a ritzy, sexy feel that makes you want to sip a shaken-but-not-stirred martini, suck on fresh oysters, eat a large piece of steak, sit back satisfied and smoke a cigar. This is a place where a man can be a man and a girl can be in his playground for a night. It feels like a sexed up Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse with Montreal flare. I LOVED the Three Mignon Sampler and even though Le Moilleux molten lava cake was $15, we had to stop caring about price at that point and let the ice wine push us to try it. Outstanding. Service was fabulous.
