One of the main attractions for both visiting tourists and living locals in Montreal is our Mont Royal Mountain which is centered smack dab in the middle of Montreal’s beautiful downtown.
If you want to take off your shoes and walk around on fresh grass, play volleyball in the sand, bike to the top for an amazing view, or slide down to the bottom on a toboggan then you have to visit Mont Royal.
Yes, I know that Montreal is not the first city to design a man made park and mountain in the middle of the city but I still feel that it is spectacular. If you live in Montreal and have not yet ventured off to Mont Royal then hop onto the 80 Parc Avenue bus and take a ride.
If you are visiting Montreal from out of town stop by Mont Royal to relax and read a book, have a picnic, or just take a nature walk. If you are visiting Montreal during the weekend stop by on Sunday where street performers, vendors, and thousands of people gather for good music at the weekly drum festival Tam Tam.
Regardless of whether you spend fifteen minutes driving by on Parc Avenue or a whole day on Mont Royal you are sure to leave refreshed and energized. Our magnificent mountain is located on Parc Avenue between Des Pins and Cote Ste Catherine. Come and visit, you will love it. I promise!
