Zen del Mar is a stunning Mexican modern masterpiece in design and furnishings, situated on a secluded private beach in Jade Bay and within walking distance into the town of Akumal. This spacious 4,800 square foot home with five bedroom suites and en-suite bathrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people. From the moment you see the color of Zen del Mar’s claret red painted exterior, historically used by the Mayans to promote good energy, you will begin to relax. The hand-made terra cotta tiled floors and the heavy wooden double doors greet you with a feeling of being on vacation in Mexico. The floor plan of Zen del Mar is a designed synergy of indoor and outdoor spaces: the first floor doors disappear into the hidden wall reveals to create wide open spaces to the 60 foot long pool, the lounging patio, the sand patio and ten hardwood lounge chairs.
Zen del Mar takes advantage of ocean views by subtle elevation plays for expansive family living. The living room doors open up to a covered exterior living room of two cushion-covered couches, adjacent to the pool, making it easy to be part of the outdoors and not be directly in the sun.
