The Coco Maya Beach Club and Lounge is located on 12th street, beside the Blue Parrot Beach Club. It’s one of the largest clubs in Playa Del Carmen featuring 3 open areas for dancing (hip hop / R&B, Latin American, dance / house). As you walk in you’ll notice private seating all along the right side and a dance floor to your left. Head towards the back of The Coco Maya Beach Club and Lounge for the beachfront dance bar. Stroll upstairs for a nice view.

Casual beach club
There’s basically 2 beach clubs to dance at night, Blue Parrot and Coco Maya. I’ve been here a few times, enjoy dancing in the middle dance floor which always seems to have a few people. I’d say that Blue Parrot is more crowded but I like the openness of Coco Maya…..much more spread out.
Head to the back of the bar and you’ll be directly on the beach. They have a few day beds you can chill on but when the mosquito’s are out (depending on the time of the year) it gets brutal, impossible to relax when you’re being eaten alive lol
If you’re looking for a casual beach club this is a good option. They don’t normally charge cover if you show up with ladies whereas Blue Parrot charges guys all the time. Enjoy yourself!
