Nice casual beach bar

In keeping with tradition, after playing our rugby game vs. Cancun this past Saturday, both teams headed to Zenzi to celebrate. The club is owned by Gus who’s a rugby player. Zenzi is located directly on the beach which was extended a few months ago (see Playa Del Carmen’s beach gets a facelift) During the day guests can rest on their white day beds overlooking the wide beach. At night, the long bar makes it easier to get drinks, food is an option as well. For bar food, the food is ok….portions are nice. The drinks aren’t expensive, for the best deals ask for their buckets of beer.

Zenzi has 3 flat screen TV’s located at the bar which is nice if you want to see a big game without missing out on the action. It’s a fairly large beach bar, plenty of space and ideal for groups. If the music is too loud near the bar, simply walk out on the beach and you’ll find a more intimate setting. Zenzi’s casual atmosphere fits in very well with Playa Del Carmen.
