Club Med Turquoise
Providenciales | $$$$ | Website
An adult resort (18 & up), Turkoise is dedicated to giving its “Gentils Membres” (guests) the freedom to literally do whatever their heart desires. From engaging in exciting sports like the flying trapeze to sharing relaxing moments along the powdery shore the choice is yours. This is truly the essence of Club Med- “Where Happiness Means the World.”
Scuba excursions are the most popular here (not included in your package) and sell out quickly. Arrangements can be made prior to travel to ensure your adventure in some of the Caribbean’s most spectacular reefs. You can even reserve a room close to the scuba school to ensure easy access for your early morning dive. This Club Med was the first resort to occupy the shores of spectacular Grace Bay 25 years ago and is scheduled for a facelift in the coming years. No doubt this will catapult it back to the ranks of other top Club Med locations.

Looking for action....Club Med might be able to help :)
I did a quick tour of this Club Med about 3 years ago and if it’s anything like the old adults only Club Med Cancun (now a family resort) I can guarantee you’ll have a wild time here. In addition to my tour I’ve been fortunate enough to hear what really goes on at this resort from an employee with whom I play rugby with (we’ll keep his name anonymous).
Club Med can never publicly admit anything but the concept is simple….take a vacation here and there’s a 80 – 90% chance you’ll get some sort of action (and I don’t mean water sports type of action The animators at these resorts are fired up, always encouraging guests to participate which is a fantastic way to meet people. Now how these animators, or GO’s stay so fired up probably can’t be written here but you get the point.
It’s an expensive resort and on this island, it’s one of the best places to go out. People who aren’t staying at Club Med Turquoise can come party here but need to pay either a day / night pass which gets them access to guests, booze, and a wild time. So long story short….if you like the all inclusive concept, if you have money to burn, if you want action, this could be a good option for you.
PS. The resort / island is known to attract French Canadians which probably explains why things can get pretty wild :) Good luck and be safe!

Pure Unadulterated Fun
I visited this Club Med in the spring of 2009. I was attracted to the affordable price and activity options. The all inclusive aspect was a little suspicious to me but I was eager to check it out. As I suspected many things were not included, like coronas, and top shelf liquors. Lucky for me I was perfectly happy with the local rum. Everything I needed was included. I heard other guests complaining about not having Coca Cola or Pepsi products, but again, that made no difference to me.
The rooms were nice and clean. I learned that the Deluxe and Club rooms are the same size but differ only in amenities. We had a Club (standard) room and it was more than enough. It could use an updating, but we weren’t there for the décor. The whole point for us was to be outside enjoying the grounds and ocean. I will definitely return to this Club for its sense of pure unadulterated FUN!
